Attention RVC Devotees and Congregation members:

Recently RVC president His Grace Jivananda dasa Vanacari was diagnosed as having a heart condition. Doctors consider this to be a cause for concern and have advised him to take a sabbatical from his service as president in order to follow a regimen for recovery. During Jivananda's absence, the 'interim' President of ISKCON Kansas City -Rupanuga Vedic College will be His Grace Bhaskarananda dasa Adhikari. This appointment will become effective September 3rd 2008 until Sriman Jivananda Prabhu's recovery and return. Bhaskarananda dasa's first involvment with ISKCON was with Bhaktivedanta Youth Forum, Secunderabad, India (BYF)  in 1993-94 during his university days. Bhaskarananda dasa is a twice-initiated disciple of HH Danavir Goswami Maharaj. has been serving RVC for the last four years, as well as managing Omaha Gita Group. He has experience as Operations Manager at RVC during 2007 and 2008. We are confident that under Bhaskarananda dasa's leadership, RVC will continue to provide excellent service to all. Please join us in wishing Jivananda Prabhu a very speedy full recovery and welcoming Bhaskarananda dasa as interim President of RVC!
